XIII Edition 2020 Public Service And Research Guide Book Socialization Webinar

Along with the publication of the 2020 edition of Research and Community Service Guidebook from Ristek-BRIN, of course, there is a need for socialization related to the book. For this reason, Medan Area University LP2M, which previously participated in the Invitation for the Socialization of the XIII Edition Guidebook from Ristek-BRIN, needs to convey important points regarding the differences between the latest XII and XIII Edition Books.

Wednesday, October 14, 2020, LP2M Medan Area University held a Webinar on Socialization of the 2020 Edition XIII Book of Research and Community Service through the Zoom service which was attended by Research Lecturers and University of Medan Area Servants at 08.30 – 10.30 WIB. The resource persons in this activity were functionaries from LP2M Medan Area University.

This activity was attended by the Vice-Rector I for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ir. Siti Mardiana, M.Si, also delivered a speech to open this socialization event. Also attending was the Director of the Postgraduate Program, Prof. Dr. Ir. Retna Astuti Kuswardani, MS, Head of LP2M, Dr. Ir. Sumihar Hutapea, MS who is also a resource person as well as the Dean and Deputy Dean of the Faculty.

Dr. Ir. Sumihar Hutapea, MS delivered a letter regarding the Announcement of Acceptance of Research and Community Service Proposals for the 2021 Fiscal Year, where the deadline for submitting proposals starts from 15-29 October 2020, as well as Research Funding and PKM which will be funded in 2021, considering that UMA has 7 Research Proposals funding which was postponed in 2020 and will be funded in 2021. Then he also delivered a Research and Service Scheme which will only be funded in 2021.

Furthermore, the material was continued by Ahmad Rafiki, BBA, MM, Ph.D. as the Head of the Research Center, conveying the differences related to the Guidebook Edition XII and Edition XIII, the schemes that are funded, and also what requirements the lecturer must meet in proposing at Simlitabmas. The Head of the Community Service Center, Ir. Asmah Indrawaty, MP.

For the material for Research Methods and Budget Design, the Secretary of LP2M, Eky Ermal M, SE, M.Si, MAFin explained. He explained the changes in the preparation of the RAB for the XIII edition and the preparation in the Research Template. Dr. Ir. Sumihar Hutapea, MS also participated in providing an explanation regarding the 2020-2024 Research and Technology Policy, Research Protocols during the Pandemic, and the Research Road Map in accordance with the direction of the Research and Technology-National Agency for Research and Technology and also for the Proposal Stages at Simlitabmas, he also directed the filling process. The last event was closed with a question and answer session by several lecturers.
